You Are Enough

Hey You!

I hope this blog finds you in good health and happiness. Let’s talk about your levels of happiness, confidence, and joy. First of all, this all depends and begins with you, how you treat and talk to yourself. The way you talk to yourself, the things you say out loud, and in your mind have a huge impact on you. Love yourself, your body, and your mind because it’s the only one you will get. You have one life, one body and there is only one you in this world – so don’t waste your shot, aim higher than anyone else has, and be your weird, creative, joyous self always.

The most powerful words are “I am” and whatever you put after that because what you say after defines you. Seriously, start monitoring your self-talk because your subconscious and superconscious eavesdrop. In fact, your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between reality and the story you’re telling yourself. It hears what you’re saying as if you’re placing an order, and goes to work to make it happen. If you are looking to have more self-confidence or become happier, start with the way you talk to yourself.

If you find yourself often saying negative connotations, like “I can’t do that”, add the word ‘yet’ after it. This can help you realize that if you ever want to learn to do something, you have the power to do it. Instead of putting yourself down, hype yourself up. Instead of saying “I’m bad at this”, say “I can improve on this”. Which again, is telling your consciousness’ that you have the power to do anything you set your mind to. You can stand in your mirror and look yourself in your eye and say “I am enough”, because to be honest, you are more than enough.

Another quick tip to boost your self-love, happiness, and confidence levels is to show affection towards yourself. Look yourself in the eye in the mirror and say “I love you” daily – this has incredible benefits on the psyche as it’s letting your consciousness know that it’s okay to be imperfect, and that you appreciate and love yourself despite the flaws. Remember, you are your biggest critic. Embrace yourself completely – give yourself a hug, the feeling of your own embrace is powerful. I would recommend doing these exercises daily to experience a boost in your levels of happiness and confidence. But know, you can’t go through the motions, in order to reap the benefits, you need to mean it and feel it.

If you are insecure with the way you look, which honestly a lot of us are, boys and girls included, I recommend this next exercise. Grab your journal, a pen and stand in front of a mirror naked. Write down every physical piece of you that you love. If you feel uncomfortable in your own skin, this may be hard, and I would recommend doing this multiple times throughout the course of weeks to help improve your self-image and yourself love list. By doing this you will be so much more comfortable in expressing yourself and living in your own skin.
